My aspirations as a designer began at the age of four when I started designing boats out of fruit packaging and making anything out of everything I could find. Shortly after that I realised my bedroom was more than a place to sleep, it was my canvas and workshop! This went through at least thirteen major transformations. One year I would have a sunset painted on the wall with my bed placed carefully under the sun, and the next year transformed into an antique looking fantasy.
A space and what is in this space has a direct impact on you and I want to help people change their space and change their life by how it is designed and what is in it.

I am currently studying for a National Diploma in Art and Design. I feel this course was one of the best things I have done. I chose not to study A Levels as I really wanted to concentrate on acquiring skills in Art and the ND offered a wider range of options. This also allowed me to gain NCFE qualifications in photography, graphics and life drawing, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. These subjects helped my drawing skills and also the way I look, to see a bigger picture rather than what is in front of me. Also my eye for detail has improved through p
hotography and multi-media have helped with my Photoshop techniques. Throughout contextual studies I have gained a wider knowledge of artists and it has also given me an insight into the structure of writing and using the Harvard System for referencing. I feel 3D was the right choice to specialize in as it allows me to understand more about what is actually around me as everything has been designed in some shape or form, from this I am gaining a better understanding of design, form, and structure.

One of my major achievements was winning the North West Young Enterprise Award. I received this for good leadership skills, capability to work as a team member and listen to ideas and also my organisational skills. For Stockport College I am the student representative.

My ambition is to run my own business and this will require years of dedication and a lot of patience but I am willing to work hard to get there and believe University is the first step.

Here shows some rough ideas for my Design Museum brief for my pavilion. i first got my idea by messing around with some foam board.

Here are some of my photographs that i did in my Photography lessons. I had to capture architecture and reflections. I took these on a day trip to Salford.

This is an acrylic painting on canvas that i painted in Fine Art. The Piece goes along with the brief of Flora. I photographed flowers and got inspired by one of the photographs and this was my outcome.

This is my drawing machine that i made in 3D. It creates jagged lines and moves with the vibrations of the fan and the motor.

This is my design sheet for my set design it just has rough sketches of details to add to my set and rough ideas of what Arabic doors, windows and details look like.

This is my set design for Widow Twanky's Laundry (Aladdin) Pantomime. I created this set using wood. It was made in my first year of my course in 3D lessons.
